Established on 02.04.2014 by Roma Thompson, Tenner Thompson '80, Kirk Thompson '91, Mark Thompson, and Erik Thompson

Tenner graduated from Concordia College in 1949 with a bachelor of arts in philosophy. He was a tenor in the Choir under Paul J. Christiansen and lettered on the tennis team. He continued his education at Luther Seminary in St. Paul and was ordained as a Lutheran pastor in 1953. Tenner served 10 different congregations over a 53-year career, retiring at the age of 82. He often talked of his years at Concordia preparing him to do what he loved in serving his Lord and the people of the communities where he worked.

The Rev. Tenner C. Thompson II Endowed Scholarship is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid. Selection is based on scholastic achievement and financial need.
