Concordia launches graduate supply chain strategy certificate program for working professionals

Concordia College's Graduate and Continuing Studies Office and the Offutt School of Business announce a new Data-Driven Supply Chain Strategy Certificate. This part-time, one-year graduate program is fully online. It specifically designed to help working professionals enhance their skills and become leaders in the fields of supply chain management and analytics.

The program emphasizes applying data and statistical techniques to improve logistics and manage operations efficiently. Students will develop risk mitigation strategies, building resilience into the supply chain to quickly recover from disruptions such as natural disasters or unexpected changes.

"Data-driven strategies are essential in today’s business environment,” said Dr. Marcia Scarpin, a supply chain management expert and assistant professor of management. “Professionals who can anticipate and mitigate risks are invaluable."

This comprehensive certificate program is tailored for a range of professionals, including general and operations managers, supervisors, project managers, purchasing and transportation managers, data and financial analysts, and business owners. Participants will gain valuable skills in data analysis, scenario modeling, supply chain management tools, global sourcing trends, and risk management frameworks.

The fully online program consists of four courses, taken one at a time, starting in the 2024-25 academic year, with an optional elective in Agricultural Data Analytics available in summer 2025. Classes are asynchronous, allowing students to find the time that works with their work and family schedules.

Completing this certificate can also pave the way for a Master’s Degree in Management Science and Quantitative Methods at Concordia. Students can apply their certificate courses as prerequisites and obtain a master’s degree in just one additional academic year.
