MOORHEAD — This weekend, the Olson Forum Fieldhouse on the Concordia College campus will play host to athletes of all ages and abilities across 35 events in an adaptive track meet.
The Hope Inc. winter track meet begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13. The adaptive meet has divisions for competitors of all mobilities including walker, arm braces, wheelchair and wheelchair assist, power chair and pedaled bike divisions.
Since 2005, the organization has been providing athletic opportunities for people with mobility challenges. Hope Inc. executive director Bill Grommesh said the impact of the events goes beyond who takes first in competitions.
