  • Concordia College Associate Professor of Art Chris Mortenson won a green ribbon for his photo.
  • Concordia College junior Lydia Holmgren’s drawing “Choose to See” was selected in the drawing/pastel category.
  • Minnesota State University Moorhead junior Lexi Hills’ photo “Remembrance” was also selected.

“The Minnesota State fair art show is kind of a prestigious show for people in the state and a lot of very well known artists submit to it. So it's, it felt really good to get in,” Mortenson said.

“I was really surprised to hear that my work was accepted,” Holmgren said. “So many talented artists throughout Minnesota submit work and only a very small fraction get in, so I was so excited that I made it into such a competitive show.”
