CONCORDIA ART EXHIBITION

Concordia College’s art exhibition “The Recorded History Catalog” opens Tuesday, Oct. 4 and runs through Sunday, Nov. 20, in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery. A public reception will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. with artist remarks at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, in the gallery.

Diana Behl and Andrew Kosten interpret the intaglio medium of engraved printmaking in contrasting ways, using abstraction and representation to create landscapes, systems, and stories. The recorded history catalog explores where their concepts overlap – through time, place, and recorded or reimagined histories.

Behl is an artist and educator based in Brookings, S.D., and is associate professor in the School of Design at South Dakota State University. Kosten, a Memphis native, has taught at the University of Southern Indiana and Middle Tennessee State University. He currently resides in Brookings specializing in intaglio and lithographic print media.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information call the art department at 218.299.4623.
