BATEMAN AND HOREJSI CROWNED HOMECOMING ROYALTY AT CONCORDIA COLLEGE

Seniors Garrett Horejsi and Grace Bateman have been elected by the student body at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., to reign as 2016 Homecoming King and Queen during Homecoming Week, Oct. 7-9. Horejsi is the son of Gregory and Marla Horejsi, Little Falls, Minn. Bateman is the daughter of Robert and Jennifer Bateman, Park Rapids, Minn.

This year’s homecoming theme is "Concordia Homecoming: It’s a Big Deal.” Events that take place during Homecoming Week include a bonfire and fireworks, a parade, football game and a Homecoming Concert.

Other members of the royal court, all from the class of 2016, are Joshua Mackner, the son of Jeff and Connie Mackner, Dent, Minn.; Justin Odney, the son of Robert and Nancy Odney, Fargo, N.D.; Cody Bekkerus, the son of Loren Bekkerus and Cindy Trane, Pelican Rapids, Minn.; Kyle Stengel, the son of Randy and Karen Stengel, Eden Prairie, Minn.; Rachael Schauer, the daughter of Rodney and Susan Schauer, Valley City, N.D.; Emily Campbell the daughter of Scott and Deb Campbell, Sauk Rapids, Minn.; Rachel Dieter the daughter of Michael and Debra Dieter, Hopkins, Minn.; and Madeline Johnson the daughter of Nathan and Annette Johnson, Moorhead, Minn.

Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering more than 50 majors, including 15 honors majors and 12 preprofessional programs.
