CONCORDIA COLLEGE AND INTERNATIONAL POTLUCK PARTNERING
FOR A NIGHT OF FOOD AND RESOURCES
Sept. 7 event is free and open to the public
MOORHEAD, Minn. – Concordia College is excited to be partnering with Fargo Moorhead International Potluck, a community group that connects with people through shared food and stories, to provide a night of delicious food and helpful resources for international students and the broader community. The event is 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Centrum inside the Knutson Campus Center. Dinner will begin at approximately 6:00 p.m.
All Tri-College students and international community members are invited, as well as the general public.
Like other International Potluck events, guests are asked to bring a dish that highlights their culture.
There will be speakers from international student organizations across Concordia College, sharing their stories of coming to the region. Several local businesses and nonprofits with initiatives to incorporate the New American community into the larger Fargo-Moorhead community will also be represented:

“We hope through this event, more people grow a sense of familiarity, stewardship, service, and friendship across the community in collaboration with international students and New Americans,” says Peter Schott, president and founder of Fargo Moorhead International Potluck and Concordia College alumnus.
“Leaving your home and comfort-zone can be very difficult for students,” says Alicia Kauffman, director of Global Learning and International Enrollment at Concordia College. “We’re excited to help provide a fun, relaxed space where people can share experiences, build friendships, and gather together to enjoy a meal featuring a variety of foods.”
