CONCORDIA CELEBRATORY 125TH ART EXHIBITION
MOVES TO HJEMKOMST
Concordia’s art exhibition, “History and Heritage: Celebrating 125 Years of Concordia College,” will be featured by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County at the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N., Moorhead. The exhibit opens Wednesday, March 15, and runs through Saturday, Jun. 10. A public reception will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Hjemkomst Center. The reception is free to HCSCC members and active Concordia students, staff and faculty. Cobber alumni will be admitted for $5 and regular admission applies to the general public. Refreshments will be served.
This exhibition, curated by faculty and students in the heritage and museum studies program, celebrates the history of Concordia College, honoring the people, places, traditions, and stories that have shaped the institution since 1891. Concordia’s history and heritage will be shared through a variety of mediums including text panels, films, interactive digital components, material objects, and fun photo ops for all ages.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday; 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday (begining April 1), and 12-5 p.m. Sundays. Admission fees for visitors are: Adults $10, Seniors $9, College Students $9, Youth (5-17) $8, Children (4 & under) Free, and HCSCC Members Free. There is free admission every 3rd Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. (beginning in April).
