CONCORDIA CULTURAL EVENTS PRESENTS ONE-WOMAN PLAY

The one-woman play “Cheer from Chawton: A Jane Austen Family Theatrical” will take place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre on the campus of Concordia College.

Written and performed by Karen Eterovich, the play is in the tradition of home theatricals held during Jane Austen’s childhood at Steventon rectory. Austen has prepared an entertainment for her family in which her siblings are to take part with her as performers. But her family has played a trick on her: they have left Jane to tackle an unrehearsed solo performance. Audience members will play Fanny, Caroline and James.

In celebration of Concordia’s 125th anniversary, this event is free to all as a special gift from Concordia College. For more information, call the Office of Cultural Events at (218) 299-4366.
