LORENTZSEN CENTER LUNCHEON

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, will hold an upcoming luncheon “Faith and Vulnerability at Work.” The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Barry Auditorium, Concordia College. The speaker is the Rev. Sarah Ciavarri. Ciavarri will talk about how God has wired us for vulnerability and why this matters at work.

Ciavarri is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator-Consultant, Lutheran pastor and director of Spiritual Care at Augustana Care Health and Rehabilitation, Apple Valley, Minn. She supports congregations and church leaders by leading retreats and workshops and coaching on the connections between Dr. Brené Brown’s research and faith.

The cost for the luncheon is $25 per person. Please RSVP by Friday, Feb. 2, online at ConcordiaCollege.edu/businessevents or by calling (218) 299-3305.

The Lorentzsen Center honors the life and work of Norman M. Lorentzsen. He was an esteemed philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of Concordia and former member and chair of its Board of Regents. The center identifies and sustains ethical values and practices in individuals and organizations. It builds on the tradition and practices of the Center for Ethical Leadership.
