CONCORDIA HOLDS JURIED STUDENT ART EXHIBITION

Concordia College’s annual Juried Student Art Exhibition opens Tuesday, March 13, and runs through Monday, March 26, in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery. A public reception will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, in the gallery.

This exhibition is open to all student work completed in Concordia College’s art program in the past year. It showcases the diversity and creativity that emerges from the art department in areas of sculpture, graphic design, ceramics, printmaking, drawing, photography and painting.

This year’s juror is North Dakota native Andrew “Andy” Maus, director and CEO of the Plains Art Museum, the largest and only AAM-accredited art museum in North Dakota. The museum has several strong focus areas including modern and contemporary exhibitions, regional artists, Native American programming, cultural diversity, creative placemaking, learning and artistic creation.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information, call the art department at (218) 299-4623.
