CONCORDIA ANNUAL JURIED STUDENT ART EXHIBITION

Concordia College’s Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition opens Tuesday, March 15 and runs through Thursday, March 31, in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery. A public reception will take place from 4-5:30 p.m. with awards presented at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15.

This juried art exhibition showcases the diversity and creativity of Concordia College’s student artists.

Juror Anthony Faris, a sculptor, writer, photographer, and mixed-media artist from Southeast Georgia, graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in photography. He completed his MFA from Georgia Southern University in 3D art. He co-founded Stillmoreroots, a rural arts advocacy group, and has worked in community development for Gallery RFD and as director of downtown development for Swainsboro, Ga. He currently serves as gallery coordinator and curator of collections for North Dakota State University. He teaches the BFA capstone and sculpture, in visual arts.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information call the art department at 218.299.4623. Concordia requires masks for all indoor events if social distancing cannot be maintained.
