LORENTZSEN CENTER VIRTUAL CONVERSATION

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, is holding a six-part program of online panel conversations exploring “good work and its future” in 2020-21. Programs will be open to the public and free of charge on Tuesday evenings once a month beginning Oct. 20. The October Virtual Conversation, “Essential Workers in Peril: Workplace Safety in Pandemic Times,” is from 7-8:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Speakers are Paul Aasen, Janell Regimbal and Jon Riewer.

Aasen is the Minnesota Safety Council’s president and CEO with more than 30 years of experience in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Regimbal is a mental-health professional and experienced leader who has devoted more that three decades to improving stability and well-being of families and communities through advocacy of children and their issues, and at-risk youth. Riewer has served as president and CEO of Eventide Senior Living Communities since 2003, is a licensed administrator in Minnesota and North Dakota and is a qualified Health Services Execute (HSE).

With the advent of COVID-19, the public workplace has become an environment of new lethal risk. Speakers will discuss essential workers exempt from working from home and the measures employers and society should take to provide workplace safety for all during pandemic times.

The webinar is free. Please register at ConcordiaCollege.edu/businessevents. Call (218) 299-3305 for more information.
