LORENTZSEN CENTER LUNCHEON
The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, will hold an upcoming luncheon “Legacy of Leadership.” The luncheon is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at Barry Auditorium, Concordia College. The speaker is Norman M. Jones.
Jones, a Fargo, N.D., native and 1953 Concordia graduate, is the past president and CEO of Metropolitan Financial Corporation. While at Concordia, Jones began as a janitor at Metropolitan and rose through the ranks building a seven-employee single location company to a 2,000-employee corporation with locations in 150 cities. Jones will share from his many decades of business leadership and the legacy he built beyond his career.

The Lorentzsen Center honors the life and work of Norman M. Lorentzsen. He was an esteemed philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of Concordia and former member and chair of its Board of Regents. The center identifies and sustains ethical values and practices in individuals and organizations. It builds on the tradition and practices of the Center for Ethical Leadership.
