CONCORDIA ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM FRANKENSTEIN LIVE

The Concordia Orchestra teams up with the Fargo Theatre to present “FRANKENSTEIN LIVE!” This unique collaborative event will offer a live musical performance paired with a classic film. This one-time event is at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the Fargo Theatre.

The 1931 classic “Frankenstein” film starring Boris Karloff will be accompanied with a score performed live by The Concordia Orchestra. This new score, written by contemporary composer Michael Shapiro, captures the essence of the historic film with a fresh and modern twist. The orchestra, normally conducted by Concordia’s assistant professor and director of orchestral activities, Dr. Kevin F.E. Sütterlin, will be conducted by Shapiro for this special performance.

“The Fargo Theatre is thrilled to partner with The Concordia Orchestra on this exciting event. The live score will breathe new life into a beloved cinema classic and give movie lovers a singular experience,” says Emily Beck, Fargo Theatre’s executive director.

General admission seating is $10 general and $7 for students. Tickets are on sale now at the Fargo Theatre Box Office and can be purchased at the door.
