PRESIDENT’S SEMINAR LECTURE
Dr. Carol Geary Schneider, president emerita of Association of American Colleges & Universities, will lead a President’s Seminar as part of Concordia’s celebration of 125 years. Schneider’s presentation, “Engaging Diversity, Revitalizing Liberal Learning: How Educators Can Lead in the Creation of Inclusive Excellence,” will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center.
Schneider is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College. She studied at the University of London’s Institute for Historical Research and earned a doctorate in history from Harvard. She is the recipient of 14 honorary degrees and several awards.
AAC&U is the leading national organization devoted to advancing and strengthening undergraduate liberal education with more than 1350 member institutions, half public and half private, with members drawn from the entire higher education community, large, small, two-year, four-year, selective and open admissions, Under Schneider’s leadership, AAC&U launched Liberal Educator and America’s Promise, a public advocacy and campus action initiative designed to engage students and the public with what really matters in a college education for the 21st century.
