Fargo Theatre

Whether you want to catch a film or see a concert, the Fargo Theatre has it all. The historic theatre was built in 1926, has been restored, and has another screening room to rent out for parties or special events. The Fargo Theatre is nonprofit and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Plains Art Museum

The Plains Art Museum houses many art pieces for all to see. Admission is free to the public, making it a fun trip to see some of the 12 special exhibitions the museum offers throughout the year. The Plains also has around 4,000 permanent art pieces to enjoy as well.

Red River Market

The Red River Market is a regional favorite. The market runs every Saturday from the beginning of July to the end of October in downtown Fargo. There are many vendors to check out for food, produce, baked goods, and local art. There is even live music to listen to and enjoy.

Brewhalla

One of the area’s newest additions is Brewhalla. Connected to Drekker Brewing Co., Brewhalla has something for the whole family and holds special events throughout the year. Brewhalla is a mini-mall filled with local vendors from around the area. StartupBREW is an event that takes place from 8-9:30 a.m. most Wednesdays at Drekker/Brewhalla that helps inspire and support local creatives and entrepreneurs.

Thunder Road

Thunder Road brings amusement to all during the summer in Fargo-Moorhead. There are two mini-golf courses, a go-kart track, laser tag, arcade, bumper cars, and batting cages. One could spend a whole day there and never get bored with the endless fun.

More Than Words

One of Moorhead’s newest bookstores opened in 2023 and is woman-owned by a Concordia graduate. More Than Words bookshop and more is a community space for readers to hang out and connect with others in the area. You can also have snacks and drinks while you relax and enjoy your newest book.

Hjemkomst Center

A big and beautiful place to explore with many exhibits that showcase the history of the Red River Valley, the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center also hosts events and provides tours of the infamous Hjemkomst Viking Ship and Hopperstad Stave Church replica. Behind the Hjemkomst Center in Viking Ship Park is Mary’s Tunnel, a canopy tunnel of lights that is on display during the annual Frostival and is a picture-perfect place in the winter.
