Sept. 20: COVID Message - Minnesota Offering Free At-Home Tests
Greetings Students,
The Minnesota Department of Health announced it is offering free, rapid COVID tests for home delivery. Up to 12 tests can be shipped to your campus P.O. box while supplies last. You can order the tests online or by calling the MDH COVID-19 Public Hotline at 833.431.2053. This is separate from the federal government’s at-home test program, which was recently suspended.
Having tests on hand is a great tool for preventing the spread of COVID. Public health experts recommend testing:

when you have symptoms such as fever, sore throat, runny nose, or loss of taste or smell,
-
at least five days after you’re in contact with someone who has COVID, or
-
if you are going to a gathering, especially those who are at risk of severe disease or who are not up to date on their COVID vaccines.
The college does have a limited supply of free rapid tests available at the Campus Information desk in Knutson. Other rapid or PCR testing locations and additional information can be found at www.cord.edu/covid.
