Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

The COVID Response Group has reviewed the changes to student quarantine and isolation made earlier this month in response to increased spread on campus. As campus case numbers have dropped, the college is adopting procedures based on the new guidelines from the Minnesota Department of Health and CDC.

Students can now return to classes, campus work, and campus activities on days 6-10 of their quarantine and isolation if their symptoms are improving, they have been fever-free for 24 hours, and they are feeling well. They must wear a well-fitting and high-quality mask. More information can be found on the COVID Updates bar on our website. Students who are sick, have tested positive, or are a close contact still need to call Helpline (701.730.8304) to receive detailed instructions.

Competing athletes will need to talk with their trainers about more specific guidelines.

Grab-and-go meals in Anderson Commons have been extended for the rest of the semester; however, only those students in quarantine and isolation are authorized to use to-go containers to ensure supply for them.

Changes are also being made to contact tracing. To ease the burden of Health Services and COVID Helpline staff, the college is now asking students and employees who test positive to alert the people with whom they’ve had close contact. This aligns with current approaches by public health departments.

We have confirmed that students can have the free, rapid tests made available from the federal government sent to their campus address. When you make the order online, be sure to enter Concordia’s address, 901 8th St. S., in the Street Address Box. In the apt/suite/other box, enter the name of your residence hall or apartment building and room/apt. number. The rest of the information is Moorhead, MN 56562.
