Dear Concordia Students, Faculty, and Staff,

The COVID Response Team continues to monitor cases in the surrounding region when making decisions for the campus. According to recent articles in The Forum, hospitals are at or close to a critical capacity with a surge in delta variant cases. We are continuing our COVID mitigation efforts, in part, as to not add strain to local hospitals. Masking and vaccination are effective ways to reduce cases as well as decrease hospitalizations, either for yourself or someone you may unknowingly infect.

The Moorhead community testing site will now be open Sundays to help with the high demand for testing.

1110 14th St. S.

Mon.–Thursday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sundays 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

When booking a conference room, note that there are reduced capacities. If you are hosting a lunch meeting or serving food, be sure to book a room large enough to allow for social distancing when people are unmasked while eating.

As you may have seen, the CDC gave recommendations for booster shots for certain populations. Our group has discussed booster shots; at this time, it is not a topic on which we are taking action.

Thank you,

COVID Response Group
