From our location in Minnesota, the North Star State, Concordia College is pleased to launch the North Star Scholarship Program.  To recognize the courage, investment, and achievements of students from other countries who have come to study in our region, the North Star Scholarship will be offered to international students who graduate from a high school in our eight-state region, including the states of:

  • Minnesota
  • North Dakota
  • South Dakota
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Iowa
  • Wisconsin
  • Illinois

Students meeting the criteria for the North Star Scholarship program will receive a minimum of $25,000 per year in scholarship assistance.

To be eligible to receive the North Star Scholarship, students must:

  • Be an international student in good standing with a temporary, nonimmigrant visa (e.g. F-1)
  • Graduate and receive a diploma from a high school in the eight-state region
  • Earn a cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0
  • Submit a Concordia application by March 1 of their final year of high school
  • Demonstrate English proficiency by meeting one of the accepted English proficiency requirements (e.g., 71 iBT, 5.5 IELTs, 450 SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing, or 31 English + Reading ACT subscores)
  • Participate in a formal (individual or group) campus visit to the Concordia College. Travel assistance may be available. Inquire with the Office of Admission.
