I joined the Concordia College psychology faculty in Fall 2025. Prior to coming to Concordia, I earned a B.S. in psychology from Brigham Young University (2016) and an M.A. in psychological research from Texas State University (2018) under the mentorship of Dr. Krista Howard. I culminated my education by earning a doctorate in educational psychology from East Texas A&M University (2025) under the mentorship of Dr. Kelly Carrero.

Scholarly Interests/Service
My research interests examine stress management and wellness, particularly in the education system. I look at factors related to the perceived stress and/or well-being of students, teachers, and staff, along with interventive strategies that can be implemented to help improve their well-being. Within this area of research, I recently began looking at how AI impacts the well-being of individuals. I also enjoy mentoring undergraduate students in various related research projects.
I am currently a member of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) in the Division for Emotional Behavioral Health. One of my favorite conferences to present my research at each year is the CEC Convention and Exposition.
Family and Hobbies
My wife and I live with our three children in Fargo. I love volleyball, singing, watching football and basketball, and all things Disney.
