Jamie Parsley is an award-winning poet and writer. He is the author of 16 books of poems, including “Fargo, 1957” (NDSU Press, 2010), “Crow” (Enso Press, 2012), and most recently “S/O/M/A” (2025). He is also the author of a collection of short stories, “The Downstairs Tenant and Other Stories” (2014, NDSU Press), and most recently edited the poems of poet Prudence Gearey Sand (1908-1984), “Where All the Unremembered Shadows Die.”
He has an MFA in creative writing from Vermont College. He is an associate poet laureate for the State of North Dakota and also serves as the inaugural president of the North Dakota State Poetry Society. He taught at the University of Mary for 10 years, as well as at the University of Jamestown. He has been teaching at Concordia College since 2022. Also an Episcopal priest, he serves as the rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Fargo.
