The donor is a Concordia College graduate, 1979, who became a Lutheran pastor, and who was influenced by his parents, named here, and his aunt, Valborg Skorpen, to support the mission of Concordia College though annual and estate giving. The purpose of this scholarship is to support juniors and seniors who are seriously considering (a) career in teaching at the secondary or college level or (b) preparing for the Lutheran ministry.
The Charles and Borgni Edin Endowed Scholarship is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid. Selection is based on scholastic achievement, with preference given to juniors and seniors who are seriously considering a career in teaching at the secondary or college level or preparing for the Lutheran ministry.
