I’ll never forget the emotion of hearing the Concordia Choir - and our daughter - sing “Beautiful Savior” at a small church in San Antonio, TX, while they were traveling the southwest US on the Concordia Choir spring tour. This scholarship exists to honor the transformative experiences our daughter, Hannah Johnson ’13, had during her time in the Concordia Choir. From the mentorship of Dr. Renee Clausen to the lifelong friends she made, Hannah’s Concordia Choir experience changed her life forever.  We hope this scholarship will help other non-music major Concordia Choir members have similar life-changing opportunities for generations to come. Now more than ever, our world needs to hear the Concordia Choir sing “Beautiful Savior.” Soli Deo Gloria.

The Hannah R. Johnson Family Endowed Choir Scholarship is awarded by the Office of Financial Aid to one or more students of any class with preference given to a member of the Concordia Choir who is a non-music major. Selection is also based on scholastic achievement and financial need.
