Established on 04.30.2023 by Dr. William J. and Anne L. Craft
Dr. William Craft served as Concordia's 11th President from 07.11.2011 - 07.01.2023

We establish the Abbott Krugler Moorhead Rogers Endowed Scholarship to honor our colleagues in the Concordia College President’s Office, 2011-2023. For us, they have become loved and admired teachers and friends. Their professional gifts, their wise judgment, their insight, and their kindness have enriched our life at Concordia beyond measure, and more important have sustained and strengthened the faith and learning mission of the college.

Dr. Jill Abbott
Deputy to the President (2019 – present)

I came to work at Concordia after serving as a junior high school teacher, corporate recruiter, and then for 25 years in various staff and administrative roles in higher education. The mission of Concordia drew me here; I wanted to be part of a college whose mission supports a dedication to the Christian life and to learning for the sake of a better society. The reputation the college has for a spirit of community and teamwork atmosphere drew me here as well.

DeeAnn Krugler
Executive Assistant to the President (1987 – 2019)

A Cobber friend encouraged me to apply for an opening at the College. In October 1980, at age 19, I embarked on a nearly 40-year career at Concordia College. I initially served in the Concordia Language Villages/May Seminars Office as Administrative Secretary. In May 1985 I transitioned to the Business/Personnel Office. I 'graduated' to the President/Academic Dean's Office in July 1987 where I was privileged to serve as Executive Assistant to the President through December 2019.

Tracey Moorhead
Chief of Staff (1999 – 2019)

I began my Concordia Career in 1989 as Assistant Director of Development in the Office of Development. In 1999, I moved to the President's Office to serve as Assistant to the President and Institutional Grant writer. I served six months as Interim VP for Development in 2003, and I retired from service to the college as Chief of Staff in 2019.

Carrie Rogers ‘97
Executive Assistant to the President (2020 – present)

I graduated from Concordia College in 1997 with a BA degree in communications and studio art. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to my alma mater and have been serving in the role of Executive Assistant to the President since 2020.

The purpose of the Abbott Krugler Moorhead Rogers Endowed Scholarship is to help make a Concordia education more affordable for admitted students with significant financial need. Where possible, we would ask that the scholarship be directed to students eligible for the Pell Grant, but we give discretion to those in Enrollment and Financial Aid to employ the scholarship to help those whom they see in the greatest financial need.
