Hello, Friends and Family of Cobber Men’s Hockey!

After a very productive and successful offseason, which included the Cobber Hockey Golf Classic, off-ice workouts, and plenty of team bonding to kick off the academic year, it’s great to be on the ice and competing.

Hockey-wise, we again have some stiff competition in our non-conference games and of course the MIAC is always a battle every night. But we’re confident in our group and feel we have the talent, depth, and work ethic to build off our success last year to make a run at the MIAC title!

We feel we have a great mix of returning players and newcomers.  We bring back 10 seniors, return several Academic All-Conference and All-American Scholars, and have added some key pieces up front, to our defense, and in the net.  I’m proud to coach these young men and can already tell they’re a special group.

To complement our returning group, we added some key pieces up front, on the back end, and in the net. I’m extremely proud and excited to be coaching these young men and can’t wait for what my third year behind the Cobber bench has in store. Based on what I’ve seen and know of these student-athletes, they really are a special group.

That said, today I’m asking what can sometimes be a difficult question. I’m asking you to be a difference maker for them. The Difference Maker campaign raises funds that enhance our program to give these guys the experience they deserve. I invite you to contribute today and be a difference maker in the lives of our student-athletes. Your investment empowers them to be successful in all aspects of their lives and pushes them to be difference makers after their athletic and academic careers are complete.

There is a lot of work to be done, but with your help, along with the work of our current staff and players, as well as the talent pool in our area and around the country that we’ll be able to draw from going forward, there is no doubt in my mind that Concordia will be positioned to continue to take the next steps in winning MIAC Championships, play in the NCAA Tournament, and achieve our primary goal — winning the whole thing!

If at this time you can’t contribute, we certainly understand and thank you for all the other ways you support our program from near and far! Thank you for taking the time to consider participating in this campaign.

Roll Cobbs!
