Panel Discussion Wednesday on Ukraine Crisis

Concordia is convening a panel of experts to discuss the crisis in Ukraine.

The event, “Russia’s War Against Ukraine: History, Politics, and Global Security,” is being presented by the School of Arts and Sciences, the Offutt School of Business, and Concordia Language Villages. It will explore the history between the two countries as well the impact the war could have on the rest of the world.

Dan Hamilton will be the guest speaker. He is president of Transatlantic Leadership Network and senior fellow at the Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies Foreign Policy Institute. He served as U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs and dean of Concordia’s German Language Village.

The panelists are Dr. Rebecca Moore, department of political science; Dr. Angel Carrete Rodriguez, Offutt School of Business; and Dr. Leila Zakhirova, department of political science.

The event's moderator is Dr. Sonja Wentling, department of history and director of the global studies program.

The discussion will be from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the Centrum of the Knutson Campus Center and will also be livestreamed.
