The Fargo-Moorhead area is filled with cultural flair and authentic food from around the world. From beautiful Asian curries to German schnitzel, there is something for any palate. Here are some highlights in the area:

Everest Tikka House

Everest Tikka House

Also located in the Moorhead Center Mall, Everest Tikka is one of the most popular Indian restaurants in town. My personal recommendation: Chana Masala (chickpeas with herbs, onions tomatoes Punjabi style) with a side of Garlic Naan. On a warmer day, ask for a refreshing Mango Lassi – a mango yogurt drink with rosewater.

Wasbi

Wasabi

Check out Wasabi’s new location in the heart of downtown Fargo. Wasabi offers modern-innovative sushi along with other Japanese foods focused on creativity, texture color. Order for a group and your sushi will be presented to you in a table-length wood crafted boat.

Wurst

Würst Bier Hall

Würst is a German-inspired bar in downtown Fargo with industrial decor offering beer along with German-style pub grub – including bratwurst, schnitzel. One of their most popular options is a giant Bavarian pretzel, which serves three to four people. It’s salted and is served with a side of Haus beer cheese dip and marshmallow fluff. After 4 p.m., this space becomes 21+ so make sure to bring your ID at night or dine in at lunch.

Thai Orchid

Located in the Moorhead Center Mall, Thai Orchid offers beautiful curries, noodle dishes and other classic Thai food presented in a laid-back atmosphere. Their mission is to provide authentic food as it would be prepared in Thailand with the freshest vegetables, meats spices. For something daring yet delicious, order the Evil Jungle Noodles.

 Acapulco

Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

This authentic, family-owned restaurant in Fargo has served traditional Mexican dishes to the Fargo-Moorhead community for more than a decade! They offer daily specials and its colorfully painted walls are the perfect setting for a fun night. For something different, try their take on a Mexican pizza.

Café Aladdin

This Greek and Middle Eastern restaurant, which has three Fargo locations, has been serving the Fargo-Moorhead community for more than 20 years! Café Aladdin is a great spot for foodies to try something they have never had before, such as stuffed grape leaves, falafel, gyros or authentic kabobs. The staff is very friendly and is happy to describe and explain each dish, so don’t be shy to try something new. There is a large selection of more familiar Mediterranean food too, including fresh pita, hummus, tabouli and baba ganoush.

You could even have your Café Aladdin and Everest Tikka House meals brought directly to your residence hall through local food delivery services.
