First-Year Seminars

First-Year Seminar courses are designed to help you develop valuable critical thinking skills and are offered on a wide variety of topics, taught by professors who are passionate about the subject. Seminar topics are intentionally diverse and meant to appeal to your interests. The same students in your First-Year Seminar will make up your Orientation Club.

First-Year Seminars provide opportunities that are valuable to each student’s overall experience at Concordia. Not once did the course feel as if I was going through a mundane process of doing homework or studying in order to do well in the class.
