Value: Fall 2022 amounts will be announced soon | Applications are due by Jan. 15, 2022

In recognition of excellence in speech and the potential for outstanding contributions to the Concordia community, the college has established Speech Scholarships. We also offer a select number of Dovre Scholar awards to exceptionally talented speech students.

Additionally, highly qualified candidates may be named as Paul J. Dovre Forensics Scholars. These awards will be made from the pool of applicants for Speech Scholarships and will utilize the same application process. Dovre Scholar awards may be combined with Concordia College academic scholarships.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Speech Scholarship, you must be an incoming first-year or transfer student who has been accepted to Concordia College, have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA (non-weighted), and have exhibited proficiency in speech.

The initial screening will be based on a scholarship application and an essay. The essay topic for your application is: "What is your speech process?" Explain from topic selection to performance. Be specific; take us through it step by step.
