We invite student expressions of interest for serving as the Student Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2026. The student speaker will deliver an 8- to 10-minute address (1,000 to 1,500 words), which will serve to congratulate and inspire fellow graduates, their families, and guests.

The student speaker must be eligible for graduation for the 2025-26 academic year, be in good academic and disciplinary standing, be committed to participating in the Commencement rehearsal and Commencement Ceremony, and submit the required application materials by the deadline.

Please complete the form below and upload your speech in Microsoft Word document or as a PDF no later than 11:59 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026.

The selection process may also include input from the Commencement Committee. Finalists will interview with Concordia President Colin Irvine.

If you know of other students who would be excellent candidates for this role, please send a link to this webpage to them with encouragement to express their interest.

The Concordia Student Commencement Speaker always enhances the Commencement experience for fellow graduates, families, and special guests. We look forward to the expressions of interest!
