Concordia's Strategic Model
Concordia’s use of a strategic model is designed to guide our actions and decisions with clarity and purpose, while we remain grounded in our mission and poised to build upon the momentum we are experiencing at this time. The strategic model serves as a useful and memorable framework from which to execute our strategic plan, connecting key areas of concern and opportunity — such as enrollment growth, retention, and financial sustainability — with our institutional goals.
By clearly naming our priorities, the strategic model helps us weigh our actions and decisions in a thoughtful and strategic way toward the fulfillment of the college’s mission and goals. This model clarifies our focus and enlists and empowers everyone in working together to advance the college.
Key to the model are our five bold areas of excellence — academic, artistic, athletic, inclusive, and holistic. These areas of excellence inspire us to continually raise the bar and deliver a transformational education, not only for today’s students but for future generations of Cobbers. The areas of excellence serve as the foundation for turning our students’ passions into purpose, equipping them for lives of meaning, where they will influence the affairs of the world with great care, skill, and joy.
As we have started the process of updating the college’s strategic plan, the model has become a powerful, shared visual framework that guides our actions and decisions, empowering all members of the Concordia community to take ownership of their role in moving the institution forward.
