How to Apply:
Applying to Concordia is free and easy. You can submit our application form through the Concordia application portal or the Common App platform. Once your application is submitted and processed by our team, you will receive access to your personal application portal. You can use your portal to upload your required supporting documents and any other supporting materials. Once all required supporting documents have been submitted, your application will be reviewed by our admission committee, and you will receive an admission decision within five business days.
Required Materials:
To review your academic performance, we ask that you submit your transcripts from UWC so far, as well as your transcript from your high school before UWC. If your university counselor uploads your transcripts to your Common App profile, they will be added to your Concordia portal by our office.
For most UWC students, our proof of English proficiency requirement is fulfilled by:
- English A or B, HL or SL with a score of 5 or higher
- Four consecutive semesters of high school classes taught in English
If you meet one or both of those criteria, our proof of English proficiency requirement will by automatically marked complete based on your transcript.
If you do not meet either of those criteria, we will work with you to find a way to fulfill the requirement.
To assess your financial need for the Davis UWC Scholarship, we ask that you complete the Concordia International Student Financial Affidavit. This form is available in your Concordia application portal, which you will gain access to once you apply.
If you have completed an alternate form, like the IACAC ISAFA, you can upload it to your application portal in place of the Concordia ISFA.
We know you have put incredible effort into your university applications, so we are always happy to read additional materials beyond the required documents to make an admission decision. This may include:
- Letters of recommendation
- Personal essays
- Project portfolios
- Standardized test scores
- Other
These materials can be uploaded to your application portal, similarly to any required documents.

Ask questions. While in the application and interview process, ask questions about the college, do your research, ask more questions, and reach out to students attending the school. Develop friendships among your classmates to avoid feeling lost and to have a support system you can always turn to.
Financial Aid for Davis Scholars:
As a Davis partner school, Concordia College is proud to offer a scholarship covering your full financial need. Through a combination of financial aid from Davis Foundation grants, Concordia scholarships, earnings from an on-campus job, and family funds (if available), this will cover:
- Tuition
- Required fees
- Housing
- Unlimited meal plan
- Required course materials
- Support to participate in an internship
- Some personal expenses
To ensure you arrive on campus ready to begin your first year as a Cobber, we also offer:
- If you need, a round-trip plane ticket from your city to Hector International Airport in nearby Fargo, North Dakota. (Your trip back to your city must be within your first year.)
- Payment of your $350 SEVIS fee and the $250 Visa Integrity Fee (if enacted).
- $50 to spend on an arrival shopping trip to purchase anything you still need.
- A welcome basket filled with essentials like bedding, kitchenware, travel-size toiletries, some food, Concordia gifts, and more.
Please note that scholarship money beyond tuition and required fees is taxed by the federal government (except if your home country is in a tax treaty with the United States); $800 of this tax cost is subsidized by Concordia. We will discuss this more during your scholarship conversation and after you arrive on campus.
Concordia Scholarship Conversation
To fully accept your Davis Scholarship, we ask that you participate in a Concordia Scholarship Conversation. This conversation will be scheduled after your admission to Concordia. We will discuss your time at UWC, how you picture yourself at Concordia, and review the details of your scholarship. After this conversation, you will receive your formal financial aid award.

Our high-impact learning opportunities (Peaks) will give you an edge in future academic and occupational endeavors. All Concordia graduates will show at least two Peak experiences in their portfolio. Your Peak might be a special course, an internship, a global learning experience, or a service project.
You've Already Started
Concordia offers course credit for your IB scores. For students who earn the IB diploma and 30 points or more, you will receive credit for all scores of 4 and above (HL and SL). Students who earn less than 30 points will earn credit for HL courses with a score of 4 and above.

We kick off the year by welcoming our new Davis UWC Scholars and gathering in community for dinner. This is when new scholars receive their crystal globes.

Having the food pantry on campus, having tutoring and mentorship on campus, women professors who I can look up to, people I can talk about my issues with, having counseling on campus — all these resources I use a lot, so I’m just grateful that Concordia saw that those resources were necessary. Students are able to benefit from it.
