Dr. Anderson was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Illinois, and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in Minnesota. After graduating with a mathematics degree from Augustana University in South Dakota, he taught English for two years in Nagoya, Japan. He received his master's and doctorate degrees in mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has been at Concordia since 1997. His research in differential equations, difference equations, and dynamic equations on time scales is known internationally and frequently involves collaborations with Concordia students.
