Dr. Odile J. Streed

Professor of Marketing; Program Director, International Business Business (Offutt School of Business – Academics), Global Studies

Dr. Odile Streed joined Concordia College and the Offutt School of Business in 2004. A marketing professor, she teaches courses in the fields of product strategy, marketing analytics, sales, and international market entry. She earned her MBA from the University of Paris I Sorbonne and her Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Rennes 1 in France. Her research interests lie primarily in product and service strategy, branding, retailing and, more recently, sustainability.

She also brings 16 years of sales, product management, and international business experience as a practitioner, both in France and in the United States. A former Microsoft employee, Streed still treasures Microsoft’s mission “to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more” and finds it highly consistent with Concordia’s own mission. Her personal mission as an educator is to challenge, encourage, and guide students to reach their full potential.

She is also the director of the international business program, one of the first such undergraduate programs in the nation, that Concordia launched 40 years ago. She encourages students to open their horizons to new cultures and norms and prepares them for future international careers.

Outside of Concordia, Streed has served on several board of directors including the Fargo-Moorhead Opera and Churches United for the Homeless. She also regularly volunteers at Eventide, a retirement community, and is passionate about promoting sustainability, healthy nutrition, and helping small, local businesses and nonprofits with developing marketing strategies.
