I-20 Program Extension Request
8 CFR 214.2(f)(7) requires an international student who is unable to complete his or her educational objective by the Program End Date on the Form I-20 to apply for a program extension prior to the program end date of the I-20.
You may extend your program for compelling academic reasons, such as changes of major or research topics, unexpected research problems, or for medical reasons. Delays caused by academic probation or suspension or by financial difficulties are not acceptable reasons for program extensions.
Please complete this form (with your academic adviser if the delay is caused by academic reasons) and return it to the Global Learning office.
Please remember that you must make adequate academic progress towards completing your course of study to remain in status and to receive Concordia financial aid.
