Dr. Jill Abbott, deputy to the president, and Dr. Stephanie Ahlfeldt, associate provost, will be sharing career advice for guests March 28 at Intentional Collisions, an event organized by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber’s Women Connect program.

Intentional Collisions brings together influential leaders from the region to serve as mentors for other women in the speed-dating style networking event.

Abbott and Ahlfeldt were mentors last year, and Abbott said it is a great opportunity for women to ask specific questions that can help them advance their careers or work through issues they may be facing on the job.

Abbott listed empowering leadership through empathy, being calm under pressure, and faith and work as her areas of expertise. In her event bio, Abbott shared, “I love leading with humility and joy, helping women as we navigate through the ups and downs of life, and building effective and people-centered practices and processes.”

Ahlfeldt’s promoted skills are career advancement, difficult conversations, and mindset. Her bio stated, “My professional passion is empowering and supporting professionals, especially women, to claim their space and thrive.”

Several Concordia alumnae will also be serving as mentors.
