Concordia Senior Art Exhibition features sculpture, paintings, mixed media

Five graduating Concordia College students will display their art and design work at the Senior Art Exhibition from April 15 through May 3 at the Cyrus M. Running Gallery, with a reception set to begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

All five have an art, art education, or art history major or minor. 

They include:

  • Giulio Angotti, of Moorhead, Minnesota, a studio art major;
  • Grace Dowden, of Fulshear, Texas, an art history and history major also earning a certificate in heritage and museum studies;
  • Stella Peterson, of Fargo, North Dakota, a major in biology and environmental & sustainability studies with minors in women's and gender studies and art and design; 
  • Samuel Zimmerman, of Royalton, Minnesota, an instrumental music education major with a minor in art and design; and
  • Abigail Thurmer, of Winona, Minnesota, an English writing and studio art major with a minor in art history.

The Cyrus M. Running Gallery begins in the skyway that connects the Olin Art and Communications Center with the second floor of the Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre building. It is open from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.

In addition, the gallery will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3.
