Concordia student artists to show their work at the Running Gallery

Samuel Zimmerman’s “Proximate” received the $150 Best in Show studio art award in 2024's Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition at Concordia.

The Cyrus M. Running Art Gallery at Concordia College hosts exhibits throughout the year, featuring the work of professional artists, Concordia faculty, and local K-12 students.

In the upcoming Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, Concordia students will have the opportunity to share their art with the college community and the public from March 18 to April 1.

The public is invited to attend a reception for the artists from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, with an awards presentation set for 4:30 p.m.

Pieces for the show will be selected by juror Troy Becker, who graduated from Concordia College with a bachelor’s degree in art and communications in 2000. He taught at Minnesota State University Moorhead as an adjunct instructor for four years and has exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the region. The Cyrus M. Running Gallery begins in the skyway that connects the Olin Art and Communications Center with the second floor of the Frances Frazier Comstock Theatre building, all on the Concordia College campus.

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
