Fireworks, parade set for Concordia Homecoming

The community is invited to celebrate Concordia College’s 2025 Homecoming, scheduled from Wednesday, Oct. 1, through Sunday, Oct. 5, at a variety of locations on and off campus.

The week includes numerous events geared toward Concordia alumni — class reunions, tours, and banquets for the Alumni Achievement Awards and Athletic Hall of Fame Awards — as well as a number of public events.

Wednesday, Oct. 1

N.D. Attorney General Drew Wrigley: Justice and Leadership in a Changing World
7 p.m. Centrum, Knutson Campus Center

The event, “Justice and Leadership in a Changing World: A Public Address and Conversation with the North Dakota Attorney General,” will explore the challenges and responsibilities of pursuing justice today and the vital role of education, ethics, and civic engagement in shaping tomorrow’s leaders. This event also marks the launch of Concordia’s new criminal justice program, developed in partnership with Minnesota State Community and Technical College Moorhead (M State) to prepare students for careers in law enforcement, public service, and community engagement.

Saturday, Oct. 4

Cobber 5K Fun Run and Kids’ Niblet 1 Mile
Memorial Auditorium

Registration is from 7 to 8 a.m. in Memorial Auditorium, with the Cobber 5K for all ages starting at 8:30 a.m. and the Kids’ Niblet Mile for ages 12 and younger starting at 9:30 a.m. Register early at ConcordiaCollege.edu/CobberFunRun.

11 a.m. route from the Townsite Center on Eighth Street near McDonald’s to Jake Christiansen Stadium.

Cobber Homecoming Tailgating
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. south side of Jake Christiansen Stadium

Bring the whole family to enjoy bounce houses, games, and food.

Cobbers vs. St. Scholastica Football Game
1 p.m. Jake Christiansen Stadium

Tickets are available at the game or online. During halftime, the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees will be recognized.

Homecoming Concert
6:30 p.m. Memorial Auditorium

Hear three Cobber powerhouses perform — The Concordia Band, The Concordia Choir, and The Concordia Orchestra. Tickets can be purchased online at $10 for adults, $5 for students, and free for Concordia students, faculty, and staff.
