LORENTZSEN CENTER FAITH AT WORK CONFERENCE AND LUNCHEON

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, will hold an upcoming Faith at Work conference and luncheon, “Workplace Chaplains Caring for Employees,” Friday, March 15, at the Courtyard by Marriott, Moorhead, Minn. The conference including the luncheon is from 7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and the luncheon only is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Attendees may choose the conference or just the luncheon. Steve Cook will speak at the conference and Dan Malmstrom at the luncheon.

The leaders who get the most out of their teams are the ones who care the most about their people. One approach to caring for employees is through workplace chaplains. Hear from chaplains and business leaders on this employee benefit that far exceeds traditional EAPs. Cook is owner and founding chaplain at Capital Chaplains and Malmstrom, a 1982 Concordia graduate, is a principal owner of North Point Professionals, a consulting firm offering strategic services to corporations, start-ups, nonprofits and schools.

The cost for the entire conference is $50 and the luncheon only is $25 per person. Please RSVP by Friday, March 8, online at ConcordiaCollege.edu/businessevents or by calling (218) 299-3305.

The Lorentzsen Center honors the life and work of Norman M. Lorentzsen. He was an esteemed philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of Concordia and former member and chair of its Board of Regents. The center identifies and sustains ethical values and practices in individuals and organizations. It builds on the tradition and practices of the Center for Ethical Leadership.
