LORENTZSEN CENTER VIRTUAL CONVERSATION

The Lorentzsen Center for Faith and Work, part of the Concordia College Offutt School of Business, is holding a six-part program of online panel conversations exploring “good work and its future” in 2020-21. Programs are open to the public and free of charge on Tuesday evenings. The November Virtual Conversation, “Black, Indigenous and People of Color at Work: American Business Responds to Racism,” from 7-8:30 p.m. Nov. 17. Speakers are Rosa Miller, Dr. Shontarius Aikens and Alexandre Cyusa.

 

Miller is retired from 3M and a member of the Concordia College Board of Regents. Aikens is assistant professor of management in the Offutt School of Business at Concordia and Cyusa works for Fargo Jet Center and is a community liaison for Folkways.


The discussion will center on race relations and the speakers will offer constructive ideas for changing organizational cultures, building bridges across social divides, and creating economic opportunity for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.

The Lorentzsen Center honors the life and work of Norman M. Lorentzsen. He was an esteemed philanthropist, former CEO of Burlington Northern, alumnus of Concordia and former member and chair of its Board of Regents.
