MULTIMEDIA EXHIBIT AND KEYNOTE

“A PEACE OF MIND” AT CONCORDIA

Concordia College will host “A Peace of My Mind” Feb. 3-5. “A Peace of My Mind” is a multimedia arts project created by award-winning photographer John Noltner, that uses portraits and personal stories to bridge divides and encourage dialogue around important issues. Noltner will present a keynote address at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5. The exhibit and address will take place in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center. Both are free and open to the public.

Exhibit tour times: 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3; 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4; and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, in the Centrum.

Through exhibits, workshops, lectures and on-site studios, “A Peace of My Mind” leads transformative experiences that helps a polarized world rediscover the common humanity that connects us. Peace of My Mind was founded by Noltner in 2009. He will be displaying portraits and personal stories of ordinary people across the U.S. and their insights on peace and the common good. He has photographed cancer survivors, refugees, prisoners, Holocaust survivors, teachers, veterans, etc.

Noltner will also be taking portraits of faculty, staff, and students at Concordia College to answer the campus’s question: “How do you work for a more just and compassionate world?” He’ll reveal Concordia’s multimedia portraits and how each individual answered the question at his keynote presentation.
