Music Scholarship Finalist Audition Events
Register to join us to perform your live finalist audition for a music scholarship. Please review the event descriptions below. If you are unavailable for these events, please reach out to Kristen Hatfield to schedule an alternate audition time.
Friday, Dec. 5: Moorhead
This event includes a luncheon, info sessions for students and parents, opportunities to connect with admission representatives, and a chance to see our Emmy Award-winning Christmas Concert featuring some of our top-performing ensembles. Families also have the option to experience our VIP Christmas Concert Experience and receive a behind-the-scenes look at the concert with mural designer Paul Johnson, lighting director Bryan Duncan, and artistic director Dr. Michael Culloton, and a reception with music faculty. Up to four tickets for the concert are complimentary and additional tickets are available for purchase.

Friday, Dec. 5
(10:45-11:00 a.m.) — Check-In for students opting to complete Presidential Scholarship Interviews
11:30-11:45 a.m. — Check-In for Music Scholarship Only students
Noon-1 p.m. — Luncheon with Music Faculty (families welcome)
1:15-1:45 p.m. — Welcome Meeting (families welcome)
1:45-4:15 p.m. — Auditions, Campus Tours, Admission Visits
Optional VIP Christmas Concert Experience | Friday, Dec. 5
4:15-5:15 p.m. — Dinner on campus in Anderson Commons
5:15-5:30 p.m. — Check-in for VIP Tour
5:30-6:15 p.m. — Behind-the-Scenes Experience
6:15-7 p.m. — Reception with music faculty and staff (light refreshments will be served)
7:30 p.m. — Concert
Friday, Dec. 12: Twin Cities
This event is held at St. Andrew's Church in Mahtomedi, Minnesota, and offers an opportunity to connect with admission representatives and a chance to see our Emmy Award-winning Christmas Concert at Orchestra Hall featuring some of our top-performing ensembles the night prior to your audition. Up to four tickets for the concert are complimentary and additional tickets are available for purchase. Due to equipment needs, percussionists are encouraged to audition at one of our on-campus events rather than our Twin Cities event (unless you are able to provide and set up your own equipment).

Thursday, Dec. 11: Optional Christmas Concert at Orchestra Hall
5 p.m. OR 7:30 p.m. — Concert (you can request tickets for whichever time works better for you)
Friday, Dec. 12
8 a.m.-1 p.m. — Auditions at St. Andrew's Church in Mahtomedi
8 a.m.-1 p.m. — Connect with admission and music staff
Sunday, Feb. 15-Monday, Feb. 16: Moorhead
(Two-Day Event)
This event includes a banquet, info sessions for students and parents, opportunities to connect with admission representatives, and a concert featuring some of our top-performing ensembles. The February event is our largest music scholarship event of the year. Students are expected to attend both days of the event.

Sunday, Feb. 15
4-4:45 p.m. — Check-In
4:45-5:30 p.m. — Welcome Meeting (student and family meetings)
5:45-6:45 p.m. — Banquet with Music Faculty (students only; families are welcome to dine in our dining center)
7-9 p.m. — Concordia Ensembles Concert (families welcome)
9-9:45 p.m. — Faculty and Current Student Meet & Greet
Monday, Feb. 16
8 a.m.-3 p.m. — Auditions, Campus Tour, Admission Visits, Lunch
9-10 a.m. — Parent Session (financial aid and college experience)
