A typical visit will include a campus tour, a visit with an admission representative, and a visit with a faculty member in the department of your choice. Additional appointments such as visits with athletic coaches or music ensemble conductors can be requested as well in the visit registration.
Depending on your visit requests, you should plan to be on campus anywhere between 2 and 4 hours.
If you need to leave campus by a specific time, please make note of that in your visit registration so we can schedule your day accordingly.
Your Concordia Visit Experience will begin at the Welcome Center (#32 on the map) on the corner of 12th Avenue and 8th Street in Moorhead, Minn. You can park in the WC lot in the designated Visitor Parking.
At Concordia, we value personalized experiences and connections for each visiting student. Your admission representative is there to help you every step of the way during your college search. They are there to answer your questions and offer guidance during the decision process.
Some questions may be:
What scholarships are available to me?
Can you tell me about the study away options?
How do I go about selecting a major?
What should I be doing to prepare me for college?
I’ve taken college level and/or AP courses in high school; how will these transfer to Concordia?
In order for you to have to best visit possible, please register for a visit as far in advance as possible.
If you walk in, the admission representative, faculty, or staff member you’re interested in meeting may not be available.
Absolutely! Our faculty love connecting with prospective students. When you register for a visit during the academic year, you’ll select a department and we’ll do everything we can so you can meet with a faculty member from that department.
However, due to faculty being away from campus to conduct research or lead study away programs, one-on-one faculty visits are not available between May and August.
At the intersection of Interstate 94 and Interstate 29, Concordia College is an easy 3.5 drive from Bismarck, Minneapolis, or Winnipeg and is only 4 hours from Sioux Falls. Concordia College is just off I-94 at Moorhead's Exit 1. Travel about 16 blocks north on Highway 75, also labeled Eighth Street. You'll see the skyway at the edge of campus at 12th Avenue. The Welcome Center is at the same intersection.
Travelers from the east on Minnesota Highway 10 will approach Concordia's campus from the opposite end. Continue driving west on Highway 10 as it turns into Center Avenue. Turn south onto Eighth Street. You'll see the Welcome Center on your left at the corner of 12th Avenue and Eighth Street.
If you're traveling from the bus station, train depot, or airport to Concordia, you might first consider calling an Uber or Lyft. Other options are renting a car or, if you're in downtown Fargo, taking the local bus system — the Metro Area Transit.
If you're flying into Fargo, you'll land at Hector International Airport, which is served by United, Delta, Frontier, Allegiant, and American. The airport is located in north Fargo about 11 miles from campus.
Fargo's Amtrak train station and Greyhound bus station are located downtown, each about 2 miles from campus.
