Oct. 12 – Oct. 25, 2020

Experience Southeast Asia's ancient and fascinating culture on this journey into the heart of Vietnam and Cambodia, two fascinating countries!  Join Dr. Polly Kloster, associate professor of nursing and Dr. Gay Rawson, professor of French, on their fifth adventure combining vocation and vacation.  Our focus in Battambang, Cambodia will be to continue work with our longtime partner Giving it Back to Kids, where we focus on the unique health issues of women and children.  Our tour includes visits to the Angkor Temples and Ha Long Bay, UNESCO World Heritage sites.  Our planned itinerary includes visits to Wat Thmey (the killing field in Siem Reap), floating villages, a bat cave, artisans, markets, temples, dance performances, and water puppet theatre.  We travel by bamboo train, bike, boat, bus, foot, tuk tuk and plane.  Other trip highlights will be cooking classes, a spa day and a three-day overnight cruise on Ha Long Bay in newly built traditional wooden junks.  Join us for Tai Chi at sunrise as we explore these fabulous countries.
