Transfer Credit & Policies
Concordia College accepts a variety of transfer credits and credit for prior learning. It is the student’s responsibility to confirm with the Transfer Notebook and the Registrar’s Office how coursework will transfer to Concordia College. Credit can only be evaluated and entered from an official score report or official transcript. More information can be found in the Transfer Credit Policy. This policy covers important definitions about transfer credit, the evaluation criteria used to review transfer credit, and the procedures followed to transfer the credit. It is highly recommended that all students carefully review this policy.
If you submitted any unofficial transcripts for admission, you will be required to submit final official transcripts for all previously attended institutions once final grades are earned. Failure to do so will result in a hold on your account and will impact registration for the next term.
The Registrar's Office does not award transfer credit for coursework completed through non-collegiate or third-party learning platforms, including but not limited to StraighterLine, Study.com, Sophia Learning, and similar providers. To ensure academic quality and alignment with institutional degree requirements, transfer credit is considered only for coursework completed through regionally accredited colleges and universities or other approved credit-bearing programs (e.g., AP, IB, CLEP). Students should contact the Registrar's Office before enrolling in outside coursework to confirm whether it may be eligible for transfer.
