The Concordia Vocal Jazz Festival is an annual event that features Concordia Vocal Jazz I & II, engaging and effective clinicians, and vocal jazz ensembles from across the region. Past guest artists have included säje, The New York Voices, Jeremy Fox, Rosana Eckert, Justin Binek, Ryan Howe, Tobi Crawford, and Jerry Rubino.

The 2024 Vocal Jazz Festival will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Each participating ensemble will have an on-stage performance/clinic with Rosana Eckert and Justin Binek. The evening before, on Feb. 9, Justin and Rosana will perform a recital on campus through Concordia Cultural Events. Ensembles participating in the Vocal Jazz Festival will have an opportunity to add tickets for this recital onto their registration.

Rosana Eckert

Praised as a world-class artist, and with an international reputation in several facets of the music industry, Rosana Eckert wears many hats as a versatile live and studio vocalist, a dynamic improviser, a creative songwriter and arranger, and a masterful educator of jazz and voice.

Justin Binek

Justin Binek is an internationally recognized jazz and classical singer, pianist, and clinician/adjudicator. Selected as a Quarterfinalist for the 2022 GRAMMY Music Educator Award, he is also an acclaimed arranger and composer.
