Concordia College invites industry professionals and the general public to a panel discussion on the challenges facing supply chains today.
“Supply Chain Under Fire — Disruption & Innovation” is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12. The event will be held in Barry Auditorium in the Grant Center of the Offutt School of Business. It’s free with refreshments served.
The global supply chain landscape has been shaped by several high-impact events over the past year, including geopolitical tensions, natural disasters, and cybersecurity threats.
Global researchers and local industry professionals will share their insights and strategies for managing disruptions. Featured panelists include:
- Dr. Jane Siegler, a global supply chain expert from Butler University
- James Sipe, executive vice president of supply chain at Border States
The panel, and following Q&A, will be moderated by Dr. Marcia Scarpin, assistant professor of management at Concordia. Scarpin also leads the college’s Master of Science in Management Science and Quantitative Methods and Supply Chain Strategy certificate programs.
“Dr. Siegler has an exceptional ability to bridge academia, industry, and government,” Scarpin said. “Her work involves leveraging business databases and data tools to enrich teaching and collaborative projects.”
The event will feature time for networking with fellow colleagues and students as well as door prizes for attendees.
The event is free, but guests are required to register at Supply Chain Under Fire: Disruption & Innovation by Nov. 7.
